"I wrote this music over a period of three years, beginning in 1970, in between fryings that left me a little burnt and amidst rabid associations and commitments which detained me from recording it until July 1973."

The actual recording was oftentimes tedious as both my synthesizer and organ string settings were limited to monophonic capabilities. The music was therefore, with the exception of drums and piano, constructed one note at a time."
