This Group's Constituent Members are Steven Weiner Marcus, (Hampshire College-Drama, Visual Art; Mythology & Literature), Lyricist, Vocalist and Songwriter, and Jonathan Truelson, Music Producer, (Berkeley School of Music Keyboard Musician; Jazz Guitar & Bass Player; 'one-man band'), with studio musicians such as Steve Asetta on Saxophone and Peter Sportino on Drums. The 'band' coined its name from the fact that both its creative partners are born in early August, under the Astrological sign of Leo the Lion: Steven, on August 19th, and Jon, on August 9th. Both members of this team are die-hard Beatles fans, and both have internalized a wide spectrum of Pop, Rock and Jazz styles of music, which they picked up both practically, and through 'osmosis'. Steven's wife, Classically trained musician,  Tamar (Tamari) Witkin, transcribed his memorized melodies with their implied harmonic underlying chords,  onto staff paper, thus creating suitable lead sheets for Truelson to work with. This dynamic duo, created a sound that was at once nostalgic yet deeply powerful and personal. Their creations were not intended for live performance, but instead, are fully produced studio creations suitable for cinematic and theatrical releases: 9 of their songs were featured in the 2008 Release "Lost Stallions; The Journey Home", one of Mickey Rooney's last movies.
