In the late seventies, Lita Ford became the driving force behind the "Runaways". The success of this group was marked by the release of five albums and three world tours.

Lita arrived in California from London at the age of nine. Shortly thereafter, she purchased her first guitar for $23.00. The strong independent charatcer that she possesses caused her to shun formal guitar lessons and teach herself to play. Led Zepplin and Black Sabbath albums played relentlessly on Lita's turntable. Consequently, these influences were to have a profound effect on the penetrating, infectious and  unique style she would develop.

In 1981, while working diligently to fine tune her guitar and vocal skills, Lita met Neil Merryweather and he became her Producer/Manager. Lita formed a trio called "The Lita Ford Band" with Dusty Watson on drums and Neil Merryweather on bass. Realizing the undeniable potential of Lita, Neil took it upon himself to introduce Lita and the band to Artie Ripp and Family Productions. Ripp immediately signed Lita to a production agreement and she worked on her first solo album.

Lita's all-original material is reminiscent of the classic hard rock sound. Lita comes alive on stage, epitomizing the all-American Rock & Roll Girl. She communicates this to the audience while dazzling them with her brilliant guitar work.

Lita Ford's volatile personality and powerful presence are sure to send her rockin' and rollin' well into the '80's.
